Hatch House Ventures is a growing network of startup accelerators designed for current students-entrepreneurs, post-grad entrepreneurs, and young people everywhere looking to be their own boss. We have several partnerships with higher educations institutions, but our Lehigh Valley, PA location is open to anyone. Also, that location happens to be our flagship, live-work accelerator. A Glimpse Into Hatch House

Hatch House is uniquely designed to provide not just our Resident-Entrepreneurs with an ideal atmosphere for growth and good times, but also to reach the community at large. Non-Resident Memberships are free to the community. You’ll be able to arrange time with us for consultation, schedule usage of our equipment such as the photography/videography studio, and access events that are either free or reduced in price for Non-Resident Members. Steve founded Hatch House Ventures, LLC in November, 2014 taking him 7 months to plan and execute the first location opening on July 1st, 2015. Steve is a serial entrepreneur having left the corporate world in 2013 after 4 years of Fortune-500 work. Steve also runs a consulting company called Gen-Y Consultants, focusing on helping companies effectively market to millennials as well as attract and retain millennial talent in the workforce.

Steve is also an Adjunct Professor of Practice at the Horn School of Entrepreneurship at University of Delaware.

Mona A. Parikh, Esq. currently serves as an Adjunct Professor and Tech Community Liaison for The Horn Program in Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware's Lerner Business College. She also serves as Managing Director to Start It Up Delaware, Delaware's first hub for entrepreneurs, startups, and freelancers, operating out of The Loft coworking space in Wilmington, Delaware. Mona won Tech Community Organizer of the Year in 2015, and in 2014, she was selected by Delaware Business Times as part of their inaugural class of 40 Under 40 Innovators and Achievers. Mona runs the monthly Delaware Tech Meetup and spends most of her time assisting startups and entrepreneurs trying to build, launch and scale their companies.

David joined Hatch House after leaving a corporate position in the IT space. In the past 3 years, David has bought, sold, and rents our over 15 properties with revenues nearing $1M annually. David not only searches and acquires future Hatch House locations, but he also ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for a high impact exercise mat called Perfect Burpie. He continues his work in product development and exploring more sales channel as his product gets off the ground.

Quinn joined Hatch House in July of 2015 after hearing about the concept and wanting to be a part of it’s founding. Since joining, Quinn has overseen several company initiatives, taken on marketing and PR responsibility, and managed a team of interns. Quinn joined his first startup at the age of 14 and has been involved in many different startups since. Quinn will look to launch his own startup in the next year and plans to continue to remain in the field of entrepreneurship throughout his career.

John Jonson joined Lyrical Partners as a Managing Director in July 2013. John manages the firm’s private equity portfolio of direct investments.

Before Lyrical, John was a Managing Principal and co-founding Partner of Capricorn Investment Group, originally the single family office for Jeff Skoll, the first president of eBay.

John served as Capricorn’s Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2010 with responsibility for all operational aspects of the firm. From 2010 to 2013, he directed Strategic Business Development for Capricorn and its affiliates. Prior to Capricorn, John was CFO and Partner at Sanderling Ventures, a biomedical venture capital firm with over $1 billion under management.

Dr. Dan Young is one of the leading entrepreneurship, marketing and innovation professors on the East Coast. He is also a successful entrepreneur whose areas of interest have spanned financial services, sports, entertainment, education, fashion and nonprofits.

Dr. Young received his PhD in Social and Behavioral Marketing from the Fox School of Business and he has taught at Temple University, Wilmington University, the University of Delaware, Goldey- Beacom College, and West Chester University of Pennsylvania in all areas of entrepreneurship, marketing and innovation on the undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral level.

In 2014, he was spotlighted as one of Delaware Business Times Top 40 Under 40 in Business Innovation and, in 2015, he has spotlighted as Chains Incorporated’s Top 40 Under 40 in community service.

Dr. Young is very passionate about community work and currently serves on the board of Delaware’s Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. He is the past President of the Council of Urban Empowerment, the Jefferson Awards local board of Delaware, and the Leadership Delaware Alumni Association.
